A few of Our Client Success Stories

Southport College

2024 was a big year on Renewables for Southport College. ASK Renewable Solutions Ltd helped Southport College set up training booths and training facilities for all the students to learn about Solar PV, Battery Storage and Air Source Heat Pumps. This is one of the first colleges in the Country to introduce this and is a testament to their achievements and their innovative teaching skills. Renewables are a big part of the future and it's excellent to teach the next generation of installers to achieve high standards from the start.

A 14kw Solar PV and Solar edge was installed on the Tech building with a Battery Storage System. The staff and Students can now see real life activity on every panel individually split over different orientations.

They are able to see the power from the grid, the panels and the battery feeding the demand.

Daily, weekly, monthly and annual charts are available on all data.

The consumption of the building, the generation of the Solar, the percentage in the battery and the export to the grid are all available on charts to see. This allows the opportunity to check the consumption and if there are any high demand items using high amounts of electricity that can be accessed.

An Air Source Heat Pump, Cylinder and radiators have been installed in the Southport Tech Building making them one of the leaders in Renewable Energy. They are one of only a few Colleges in the UK to support Solar Thermal, Solar PV, Battery Storage and Solar Thermal in the UK. This reiterates why they achieve high standards from the students they teach.

Further announcement of Southport College

Due to the success of the Tech Building the management decided to extend the Solar PV to the main building. 70KW of Solar PV and Solaredge installed to the Main Building in 2024. This has decreased the bills and had an immediate impact.

Standish Leisure Centre

Standish Leisure Centre

Wigan Council -

New solar panels at Standish Leisure Centre will save around £14,000 and 17,132kg in CO₂ emissions per year.

The centre, on Rectory Lane, has become the fourth Be Well Wigan facility to have photovoltaic cells installed – following on from Howe Bridge, Leigh and Robin Park.

It’s all part of our ambition to reach net zero carbon emissions by 2038.

Councillor Paul Prescott, cabinet member for planning, environmental services and transport, said: “As well as helping us do our bit for the planet, this investment will save us money long-term – with the solar panels expected to effectively pay for themselves within five years.”

The development has also brought benefits for local business, with contractor DFP Services Ltd drawing upon Wigan-based supplier

 ASK Renewable Solutions Ltd.

Care Home Installation

ASK Renewable Solutions Ltd has been involved with a long term goal of reducing the Energy on domestic and commercial properties across the UK.

We have associated with a number of organisations and Councils to assist with their projects. Dovehaven is one of the leaders in the fight against reducing  carbon footprint.

Care homes are consistently occupied and require a high demand for electricity. Some of the traditional homes are running heating from storage heaters and traditional cylinders which are high consumption items.

Dovehaven made a commitment to decrease the Carbon Footprint and to modernise the heating systems and increase their self consumption. Liverpool, Wigan and Warrington have already been completed.

The latest is Callands Care Home in Warrington and this project consisted of removing the storage heaters, installing a new heating system with new radiators, new cylinders, buffer tanks and 17 Air Source Heat Pumps. A 150kw Solar PV system was installed to generate their own electricity and contribute towards the electricity bills.

This is a success story for Dovehaven to offer sustainability and a more comfortable environment for their Care Homes to add to their high standards already set as a Care provider.

The commitment and future vision of Dovehaven is clear to see and this success contributes towards the high stands they have set in their business.

APHC
Association of Plumbing and Heating Contractors

ASK Renewable Solutions were asked to help The Association of Plumbing and Heating Contractors (APHC) to take a giant step towards becoming fully sustainable with the installation of solar panels at their head office to power their operations.

The installation of these solar panels will help APHC to significantly reduce their reliance on non-renewable sources of energy and fossil fuels whilst making a commitment to work towards a greener future.

The newly installed solar panels will allow APHC to produce their own clean, renewable energy, minimising their impact on the environment, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and reducing their carbon footprint at the same time.

The pictures show the panels on a dark and dreary day during May, but on May 25th their newly installed solar panels generated almost 200 kilowatts of electricity, displaying the capability that solar energy has.

Sustainability is crucial for the future of our planet, and as a leader in their industry APHC understands that the steps they have taken towards the use of renewable energy shows their commitment to protecting the environment and providing a greener future for all.
